Game of Thrones season finale trailer an insane meeting of all your favourites
Starting with last season and really ramping up this year, Game of Thrones has been efficiently re-uniting the once-scattered cast of the HBO series. Arya briefly saw her direwolf; Sansa has found both Bran and Jon. A whole mess of characters who knew each other’s dads met up north of the Wall. But nothing we’ve seen yet can quite match the major meeting looming in the finale. Everyone will be down south for the big meeting of Kings, Queens, and zombies. Well, almost everyone.
You had your chance to go to the party, Sansa, but you (snottily) sent Brienne instead. Speaking of which, let’s take a full accounting of everyone we see gathered in one place for the finale.
We see (deep breath): Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) , Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Bronn (Jerome Flynn), Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk)—or at least his fleet, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), Ser Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen), Pod (Daniel Portman), and just behind him Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel), Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson), Varys (Conleth Hill), Theon (Alfie Allen), Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Davos (Liam Cunningham), the Hound (Rory McCann) and Brienne (Gwendoline Christie). We don’t see Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) but she’s undoubtedly there as well as a few other familiar faces. Plus, you know, scores of armies spoiling for a fight.
Please don’t ask me how Grey Worm and the Unsullied escaped from Casterly Rock. Just be glad our second favourite eunuch (behind Varys but in front of Theon) is safe and sound. As for the dazzling location itself, this is the much-anticipated Dragonpit.
News first broke back in August that Game of Thrones was using the picturesque Italica ruins near Seville, Spain, to stand in for the Dragonpit—a cavernous ruin perched atop of the hills of King’s Landing. This is what that evocative location looks like in the books, and here’s what the ruins look like in real life.

This is why we think by Daenerys, will likely be there. What’s a Dragonpit without dragons? This as-yet-unamed episode will be directed by Jeremy Podeswa. Controversial though he may be, Podeswa has directed some truly impressive and beautifully filmed action for Thrones in the past, including Jorah and Tyrion’s confrontation with the Stone Men, Brienne and Pod’s heroic rescue of Sansa and Theon from the Bolton soldiers, and Tyrion’s dramatic unchaining of Viserion and Rhaegal.
So whatever happens at the end of this dustup between so many main characters, it’s promising to be a lovely war.

Hailee Steinfeld Eyes ‘Transformers’ Spinoff ‘Bumblebee’
Hailee Steinfeld is in talks to star in Paramount’s “Bumblebee,” the first spin-off in the newly created “Transformers” universe for the studio.
Laika CEO Travis Knight will be making his live-action directorial debut on the pic. He directed the Oscar-nominated “Kubo and the Two Strings.”
While plot details are still unknown, the story will focus on the popular character who has appeared in all of Michael Bay’s “Transformers” films. Details behind Steinfeld’s character are also being kept under wraps.
Bay, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Brian Goldner, Stephen Davis, Knight, Mark Vahradian and Steven Spielberg are producing. Christina Hodson penned the script after joining the “Transformers” writers’ room last year, where the studio began fleshing out ideas for other movies contained in the “Transformers” universe, but not necessarily set along the franchise timeline.
Following her Oscar-nominated role in “True Grit,” Steinfeld has risen the ranks of leading ladies and this pic now marks her second potential franchise she will lead after joining the “Pitch Perfect” franchise. She is coming off strong reviews in STX’s “The Edge of Seventeen,” which earned her a Golden Globe nomination.
She can be seen next in “Pitch Perfect 3.” She is repped by CAA.

Carrie Underwood Baby No. 2
How many times have people asked Carrie Underwood about when she’s going to have another baby? A lot.
And did that stop Extra from asking her about it anyway? No.
When Extra did pose the question to Underwood recently, she just kind of responded that that isn’t really up to her.
“We’re not in control, you know, of things like that,” Underwood said.
Besides, things are kind of perfect just the way they are, with Underwood’s husband Mike Fisher and their two-year-old son Isaiah.
“Our son is absolutely amazing. He’s such a sweet guy, and we have a wonderful little family,” she said.
She also gave a shout-out to endorphins — the chemicals your body releases during exercise that act as a pain reliever and a sedative, also known as the Runner’s High — for making her so good at being a mom.
“Endorphins are real. They’re important. I feel like I’m a better mom/wife/friend when I’ve pushed my body and sweat a little bit,” she said.

Runningshaadi.com changes to Runningshaadi days before release
Days before its release new director Amit Roy’s Runningshaadi.com has had to change its title. The film is no longer called Runningshaadi.com. Says its co-producer Shoojit Sircar, “There is no change in the title as such. We just have to drop the “.com”. Now the film is called Runningshaadi.”
The pressure came just days before the film’s release with a popular matrimonial website apparently claiming copyright infringement over the title. Says a source close to the project, “Co-producers Shoojit Sircar and Vikram Malhotra would’ve fought it out. But there was no time. They didn’t want to delay the release.”
The film’s technical team burnt the midnight oil over the weekend to remove all references to ‘.com’ from the publicity material. According to sources close to Vikram Malhotra’s and Shoojit Sircar’s production houses, the film’s release on Friday remains unaffected.

Scoop: Jolly LLB 2 banned in Pakistan for its stance on Kashmir militancy
In what could be seen as another setback in the renewed release of Indian films in Pakistan post the lifting of the ban, Subhash Kapoor’s judicial satire-drama Jolly LLB 2 has been banned by the Examining Committee of the Pakistan Censor Board, reportedly because the film touches down on the sensitive Kashmir issue.
Says a source in the know, “In Jolly LLB 2 Akshay Kumar plays a lawyer who treats his profession casually until he comes across the case of an innocent man who is killed and declared a Kashmiri militant while the real Kashmiri militant goes into hiding in Uttar Pradesh. Bringing up the Kashmiri issue has not gone down well with the Pakistani censor board. They’ve banned the film, as they intend to ban all Indian films that bring up the Kashmir issue.”
It is important to mention here that earlier this week Rahul Dholakia’s Raees was also banned by the Pakistan censor board apparently for being “anti-Muslim.”
However all is not lost with the Jolly LLB 2’s release in Pakistan. The Pakistani distributors of the film have decided to appeal to the ‘Full Board’ which is the equivalent of the Indian censor board’s Revising Committee.

Salman Khan’s lawyer claims he is getting death threat from international gangster
It has only been few days since Salman Khan was acquitted from the Arms Act case after 18 years. Last week, Salman and his Hum Saath Saath Hain co-stars were ordered to appear in front of Jodhpur court in Rajasthan to record their statements regarding the Blackbuck poaching case. Salman Khan pled not guilty in front of the court.
Now, it has been learned that Salman Khan’s defense counsel, who is representing him in the blackbuck poaching case, has claimed that he has received a death threat from an international gangster for acquitting Salman in the case. Salman’s lawyer HM Saraswat said that he had received a phone call two days ago from a person who identified himself as an international gangster. According to the lawyer, the gangster allegedly threatened Saraswat for getting Khan acquitted in the Arms Act case, saying he was not happy with it.
Saraswat further revealed that the caller even warned him to be ready to face dire consequences and no one can save him. After the call, he filed a complaint with the police and he has been provided with armed security. Police Commissioner Ashok Rathore said that armed policeman have been provided for the lawyer’s security and the investigation has been started.
HM Saraswat further said that the caller aka the international gangster had allegedly also called Salman Khan demanding protection money from him. But the actor refused to do so. As for Salman Khan, the next hearing for the poaching case will be in February.

Is Kaabil Hrithik Roshan’s own Koshish?
In 1972 Gulzar made Koshish, a film about a deaf and mute couple played by Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Bhaduri, finding happiness with each other until death do they part. Likewise in Kaabil, Hrithik Roshan is a visually impaired man besotted by his wife Yami Gautam, also blind, until she is killed.
Sanjeev Kumar’s performance had fetched him the National award for best actor. Hrithik’s performance too is worthy of a National award. He baulks and blushes at the compliment. “My God that’s too much to even consider. When people say this is the first time in Indian cinema that a movie has depicted a love story between two blind people and that has never been done in the history of our industry, I feel elated.”
The box office figures are showing an upward trend. On Wednesday when Kaabil opened it displayed an increase of 40 percent box office collection from the morning shows to the evening.
As the enthusiastic encomiums pour in from all ends praising Hrithik Roshan’s performance to the skies, it becomes apparent that Kaabil is poised for a successful innings. Says Hrithik happily, “More than box office numbers it is the appreciation that overwhelms me. Like I tell my sons, the gold is not important, but running and giving it your very best is crucial and imperative. Not giving it your best is the failure. Today Kaabil my third baby is running at its very best!”
Giving his best shot to every film is important to Hrithik. “Doing good work is extremely important to me. I am proud of the appreciation we are receiving. Numbers will follow. I’ll do whatever it takes to make my films as. It’s my joy. My hard work makes me a better person. It always keeps me humble to my vision because the vision is always bigger and greater than me.”
As for Kaabil, being his best Hrithik asserts, “There is no best in creativity. It’s so subjective. There is only the goal to do full justice to the script and vision. If you ask me my favourite performances from my own repertoire I’d say, none. Whenever I look back at my favourite it turns out not as good as I thought. I keep desiring that one performance which will last as a favourite. None have so far. Maybe Rohan Bhatnagar in Kaabil might. You’ll have to check with me 2 years later again though.”
What appealed to Hrithik Roshan was that the love story in Kaabil had never been tried before. “The uniqueness of the concept grabbed my undivided attention. I love doing concept films which are potentially path breaking.”
