Varadaraju Awards
The fourth annual S.P.Varadaraju (brother of Kannada cinema icon Dr Rajakumar) awards will be presented on 26th of February to Sadashiva Brahmavar veteran actor of Kannada cinema and Smt. B P Rajamma the veteran theatre artist.
The felicitation for the two veterans is given by S P Varadaraju Athmiyara Balaga consisting of Dr Baraguru Ramachandrappa, Dr Jayamala, B N Subramanya, Doddahullur Rukkoji, H K Govindappa, A.N. Prahallada Rao, Gudihalli Nagara, Dr Vemgal Narayanaswamy, Vatsala Mohan and Deva Nagesh.
The retired IAS officer of Karnataka government Chiranjeevi Singh will be doing the honours on that evening at Nayana Auditorium (situated next to Ravindra Kalakshetra).
In the previous three years – Lakshmi Devi and Paramashivan, Rathnakar and Nagarathnamma, Shanimahadevappa and Sarojamma Duttaragi were honoured by SP Varadaraju award felicitation committee.
