They came, they saw, they ran! Celebs sprinted across Mumbai with fervour for the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2010, and the pre dawn fog put no dampener on their intentions. This year, the Half Marathon and Full Marathon offered prize money worth $3,10,000 ($60,000 more than last year), which could be the sole reason ( hah, pun) for some to be in the running.
'Feel the spirit,' said John Abraham. Er, rather, this black tee shirt declared it loud and clear. Responding to the Marathon's brand ambassador and his boyish sincerity were Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Amrita Rao, Genelia D'Souza, Riteish Deshmukh, Rahul Bose, Shahid Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Milind Soman, Gul Panag and Tara Sharma, among others.
